Eating Disorder Counselling
Reconnecting You with Your Body, Mind, and Self
Eating disorder counselling offers a safe, supportive space to explore your relationship with food, body image, and self.
Eating difficulties are often not just about food, but linked to deeper emotional needs, patterns, and ways of coping.
You do not need a diagnosis to access support. We work together at a pace that feels right for you, in a non-judgemental and compassionate space.
How I Work with Eating Disorders
My approach is integrative, combining talking therapy with mind–body awareness. Together, we gently explore patterns, thoughts, and behaviours behind your eating habits, while also working with the emotional and physical impact of eating difficulties. Over time, we support the mind and body to reconnect and begin working in harmony.
I have undertaken specialist training in eating disorders and disordered eating counselling, including work informed by the NHS, Beat, and clinical eating disorder training. This allows me to offer a safe, informed space where you can feel supported and understood.
Our work may include:
-
Understanding triggers and cycles
-
Exploring underlying emotions
-
Working with past trauma
-
Developing healthier coping strategies
-
Building self-compassion
-
Reconnecting with your body safely
There is no pressure. Therapy is guided by you, with your comfort and safety at the centre.

Feel more grounded and connected within yourself

Recovery is not about perfection. It is about creating sustainable change and supporting you to move forward in a way that feels right for your mind, body and soul.
Eating Disorders I work with:
-
Anorexia Nervosa - Limit or completely restricting how much you eat. (Can include a fear of weight gain and/or distorted body image)
-
Bulimia Nervosa - Involves a cycle of eating large quantities of food, and then trying to compensate for that overeating through various means (purging: vomiting, laxative use).
-
Binge Eating - Involves eating very large quantities of food without feeling like you are in control of what you're doing. (Does not include compensatory behaviours to rid the food).
-
Avoidant Restrictive Food Intake Disorder (ARFID) - Involves avoiding certain foods types, of texture or colour. Can also involve restricted intake in terms of overall amount eaten, or both. (Can include a fear of negative consequences, e.g., choking/vomiting)
-
Pica - Involves eating non-food items that have no nutritional value, such as paper, soap, paint, chalk, or ice.
-
Orthorexia - An unhealthy obsession with eating only “pure/healthy” food.
-
Rumination Disorder - Involves repetitive, habitual bringing up of food that might be partly digested.
-
Other Specified Feeding And Eating Disorder (OSFED) - If your symptoms don’t exactly fit the expected symptoms of other eating disorders, or you fit multiple of the above.
